This draw bar kit is designed to eliminate outward movement of the plunger, conserving the wear gib, allowing it to stay tight and in adjustment longer. The front plate is cast bearing bronze and acts as a bearing surface. The mounts are cast iron.
This kit is complete with mounting hardware and will be ready to install on Pettingell No. 2, No. 2M, or No. 2M Heavy hammers. Be sure to specify the width of the tool desired, as there are two. A wide front plate fits the Pettingell No. 2 or No. 2M, while the narrow front plate fits the Pettingell No. 2M Heavy.
Note: In order to mount this accessory to an older Pettingell hammer, four holes must be drilled and tapped into the sides of the upper frame casting.
